We would like to extend an invitation to all! Next Thursday, May 17, we will be presenting our last concert of the year. It will be at 7:00 p.m. in the LHS Auditorium. The opening night film for the Seattle International Film Festival gala at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center will be “Fat Kid Rules the World” on Friday, May 18, at 7:00 p.m. This is the movie that was filmed at Lindbergh High School and the Seattle area, and about 100 Lindbergh students acted as "extras." Tickets are $25 per person and that includes the movie and gala. The gala will be held at the Renton Events Center and will feature food from eight local restaurants. New to the LHS Commons! LHS PTSA is pleased to announce that a parent resource table will be available at lunchtime in the Commons for selected dates during the school year. This is a location and time for students to be face-to-face with parent groups that support LHS. Please stop by to say hello and get the latest information on events, volunteer opportunities and fundraising. The dates are: December 16; January 13 and 26; February 10; March 2, 16 and 30; April 20; May 4 and 18; June 1.
Make the Dash Count Foundation Youth Board in Renton is a group of youth philanthropists aspiring to become community leaders through public engagement and hands-on grant making. They distribute grants annually to various organizations in the Renton area and are currently looking for new members who are rising sophomores, juniors or seniors to join the board for the coming year. FBLA is now selling popcorn for 50 cents during both lunches Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Pick up some popcorn alongside your bubble tea near the ASB window! We also have new popular bubble tea flavors – taroberry, strawberry mango and taro banana!
Students, if you would like to change your Skyward password, or you have forgotten what it is, see Mrs. Simone in the Main Lab or Mrs. Kouba in the Main Office. Please take care of this during your lunch or after school.
Please look at the “Got Detentions?” lists posted around the school. Make sure you serve your detentions on time so you don’t get assigned Friday Morning School. New lists will be posted every Monday.
Are you missing (or never got) your ASB or ID card? See Mrs. Kouba or Mrs. Hood in the Main Office.
After-school tutorial will be held in the Library from 2:15 to 3:15 Monday through Thursday. Need help with homework? Need to use computers? Come to the Library after school.
Students, you may only be in the cafeteria, commons or library during lunch. You may not wander the halls or hang out by the mirrors. Lockers must be visited after lunch. Detentions will be given out. Please remain in the proper location to avoid receiving detentions.
You can buy your permit from Mrs. Kouba or Mrs. Hood in the Main Office. Security will boot and ticket cars without permits!
Complete information may be found here. The Summer School session will run from June 20 to July 27 from 8:00 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday. Pick up a registration form in the Main Office or print one from the Traffic Safety web site. Class space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Payment, in full, must be sent with your registration, and the total cost is $400. An additional permit fee of $20 is required by the Department of Licensing. Questions?
